 Statement of Doctrines

These basic doctrines represent what we believe to be core elements of biblical teaching.
  • We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as fully inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority.
  • We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three-in-one, co-equal, which is the Trinity.
  • We believe in God the Father Almighty who has blessed His children with every spiritual blessing, even as He chose His children in Him before the foundation of the world, that they should be holy and blameless before Him. He is neither author nor approver of sin nor does He abridge the accountability of moral, intelligent creatures. He adopts as His own all those who come to Him through HIs Son, and He becomes, upon adoption, Father to His Own.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man without division or confusion of the two natures.
  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, one of the three Persons of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He is the life of every believer, empowering the believer of godly living and service. He empowers the preaching and teaching of the gospel.
  • We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thought, word, and deed.
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
  • We believe in the physical resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into heaven and His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for all believers.
  • We believe in that 'blessed hope', of the personal, premillennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and  thereby they become children of God, and heirs of eternal life. This is a relationship on which they are eternally secure.
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the unjust and the just, the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost, and the everlasting joy of the saved, which demand a heaven and hell.
  • We believe in the existence of a personal devil, who is working to destroy the souls of mankind and that he and all his fallen angels, and all who do not receive Christ as their Savior will eternally perish in the lake of fire. That is the second death.
  • We believe in the church, the Body and Bride of Christ, whose mission is to preach the Gospel to all the world and edify the believers, glorifying God, with its endeavors being supported by her own freewill gifts and offerings.
  • We believe that the Ordinances of the church, instituted by Jesus, are Baptism (by immersion following conversion) and Communion (the symbolic remembrance meal commemorating the Lord's Supper).
